It was early morning, the sun was barely rising and the cats of Streamclan were starting to stir in their sleep. Or, that's what Fadingashes thought. Laying in a nest toward the back of the warriors den was a onyx she-cat, a yawn escaped her mouth causing her to open her jaw wide and then forced to be clamped shut. She groaned and rolled onto her other side as light burned into her odd-colored eyes. She winced them shut and sighed, it was the start of another lonely day.
With a stretch of her legs, the onyx stood up and shook the scraps of moss off her fur. She blinked a few times and then took long silent strides out of the warriors den. Once she was out, she sighed and stretched again trying to wake up. Her head turned slowly as she scanned the whole clan, though she saw no one else. What in Starclans name .. normally the leader is at least up by now! I hope everyone's ok.. But she didn't wait to check, the she-cat had a duty to try and catch some fresh morning prey and patrol the territory with it.
So, she slid out of the camp and then turned toward the stream staying quiet in case of prey. But the one place that needed to be checked was the long stream that split the clans, she always caught cats trying to catch that. Keeping her ears alert, the she-cat narrowed her eyes and crouched down as she heard something. But after less than a moment, she realized nothing was there. With a groan, she finished her walk to the stream. It seemed quiet for now. So she decided to try and catch a few fish.
Crouching down, she unleashed claws from her front left paw and peered into the water. Her eyes narrowed and then with a loud splash the she-cat struck and shot out a trout. Grinning with satisfaction, she finished off the kill by biting its neck. Then she heard movement again. Tensing up, she narrowed her eyes and looked around for any sign of what was around. But when she sniffed the air, she smelled nothing. "What.." she mewled out loud, obviously confused.
